Boss ME-25 Multi-Effects Processor

There's so much here I'll need to be brief, so starting with the pedal board - there are 3 main pedals excluding the foot controller which are (left to right) Memory Up, Memory Down and Solo /Tap Tempi. Aside from this there are a further 4 rotary controls (knobs to you and me ...) These are for editing existing pre-programmed patches or for designing custom sound patches, the controls are :-

Variation, Drive, Tone and lastly Volume ...

The only other buttons on the face of the pedal board are for editing/storing patches once your desired sounds are acheived. There are 60 sound patches that are categorised into 6main groups which are :- CLEAN, CRUNCH, DRIVE, HEAVY, LEAD, EXTREME

The list of effects is comprehensive and far too extensive to mention individually - other than to say they cover the entire spectrum of guitar effects from compression through distortion/overdrive to intelligent pitch shifting whilst stopping at all points in between. A 38 second looper is included for your pleasure and a rather neat control called "Freeze" which samples whatever you play over a 2 second period and effectively freezes the note/chord so that it rings indefinately controlled by the foot controller. Which brings me nicely to the Foot Controller itself, this can control pitch bend up, pitch bend down, Wah effects and the aforementioned Freeze effect ... Cakewalk Sonar LE comes with the ME-25 which is a Music production application suitable for PC or Mac - a nice addition from Boss ...

Digital to Analogue conversion is 24 bit and Boss claim that the unit will run for up to 9 hours on Alkaline batteries - check out the video for more details on this exciting new product from Boss.
